Ahogy az várható volt, az enyhe ősz után a tél a maga ellentmondást nem tűrő modorában tolakodott be a szép őrségi tájba. Egy hete még rövidujjú pólóban ugráltunk a trambulinban Rékával, ma meg szánkóztunk a szőlőhegy lejtőjén és egy rövid óra után haza kellett jönni, mert kislányom lábujjai lefagytak. Kellemetlen mellékhatása még a hidegnek, hogy a teraszon felejtettem a gyönyörű tavirózsámat egy kisebb víztartóban, ami csonttá fagyott. Most a szobában olvasztom és csak reménykedhetek, hogy a növény töve életben marad. Pedig még az Angliából való hazaköltözést is túlélte szegény...
A táj most is gyönyörű, ma a szikrázó napsütésben pedig még szebben csillogott a hó. A napi maximum hőmérséklet minusz 6 fok volt.
Egyéb hírek. Pénteken műtik a szememet (mind a kettőt ráadásul). Nem mintha panaszkodnék, hiszen én magam választottam, hogy megszabaduljak a szemüvegtől. A műtét állítólag szuper-modern-intra-lasik-megmifene-ilyesmi, hogy valójában milyen, arról pedig majd utólag beszámolok. Mindenesetre akkor már szemüveg nélkül ülök majd a gép előtt.
As predicted, after the mild autumn, winter has arrived to the Őrség-countryside in its aggressive way with no hesitation at all. We were bouncing on the trampoline with Reka in T-shirt only a week ago, today however we were sledging down the slope of the vineyard hill. We only managed an hour as Reka's toes started to freeze and we had to go back home. Another uncomfortable side-effect of this winter is that I left my little water-garden (which is just a bowl to be honest) outside with a very valuable water-lily and it has frozen completely. Now it is beside me in the warm room, I am trying to melt it and hope that it is going to survive. It has even survived our relocation from England so must be quite hardy...
The countryside is still beautiful and today it was sparkling sunshine with the little snow-crystals reflecting the light like millions of LED lights flashing at the same time. Today's maximum temperature was minus 6 degrees.
Other news. I am having my eyes done on Friday (both of them). It isn't moaning as I chose it in order to get rid of my glasses. The procedure is claimed to be super-modern-intra-lasik-whatever laser eye surgery but I am going to report about how it really feels afterwards. Anyway, then I will sit in front of this screen without my extra (and unwanted) set of eyes.
